Job summary

24x7 Group in Bath is seeking a Passenger Assistant to support transport for SEN or vulnerable passengers to school, college, or day care centres. The role is term-time with 12.5–20 hours per week and a monthly pay between £560 and £860, depending on the route.

You will work closely with drivers and families to ensure safe, comfortable journeys and maintain professional relationships with passengers and carers. A contributory pension, training, and generous holiday pay accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check (DBS) due to work with children and vulnerable adults.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid Training - willing to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

Responsibilities

• Transport SEN or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• Establish positive, professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and key staff at their establishments.
• Assist the driver in company vehicles, including cars, 8-seat carriers and wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathic, keeping passengers occupied and comfortable on journeys.

Salary: £560- £860 per month (route dependent)

Your Role

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres
• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.
• To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.
