Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Painter & Decorator for on-site work at HMP Full Sutton, near York. The role is 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, 08:00–16:30, offering long-term security within a government contract.

Responsibilities include planned and reactive painting in a controlled environment, with prisoners involved in decorating work. NVQ Level 2/3 and health & safety awareness are required, plus prison clearance processes are supported by Amey.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating required.
• Comfortable working in a prison environment with prisoners.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive painting and decorating.
• Commercial environment – no private customers.
• Work safely following site procedures.
