A unique opportunity has arisen for a technically strong, hands-on Group Financial Accountant to join the Group Finance team of an international group undergoing a significant strategic transformation. This role is open to both part-time and full-time candidates.

As the business pivots to focus on high-growth markets, the finance function plays a critical role in managing complexity, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting business disposals.

You will play a pivotal role in guiding the Group’s financial reporting through this period of change.

• Permanent full-time or part-time (4 days per week)
• Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 1 day WFH, or 2 days if full-time

Main responsibilities include:

• Assist with multi-currency group consolidations across monthly, half-year, and year-end cycles
• Prepare the Group’s statutory financial reports (interims and full-year accounts)
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and lead on technical accounting matters
• Oversee financial aspects of business disposals
• Manage accounting for group-level items such as goodwill, impairments, leases (IFRS 16), and share-based payments

Essential skills and experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/CA(SA) or CA ANZ qualification, ideally with audit training
• Strong technical skills with excellent IFRS knowledge
• Experience in group consolidation within a complex, multi-currency environment
• Familiarity with consolidation tools
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in managing complex reporting requirements
