Job summary

Places for People is recruiting a Porter to join our on-site team at St Leonards Terrace, London. This is a 4-hour-per-day daytime role to keep the development safe, presentable and welcoming for residents and visitors.

You will support site security, perform health and safety checks, assist residents, and work closely with the House Manager, cleaning teams and wider operations colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day running. The package includes a comprehensive benefits portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Desirable: customer-facing, on-site experience; strong communication; basic IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access as required.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks across the development.
• Be a visible on-site presence and assist residents and visitors when needed.
• Support the on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work with the operations team to ensure accurate information sharing.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies in line with procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience for residents and visitors.
• Provide daily information to the Property Manager.
