Job summary

University of Exeter is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Nursing to cover a maternity leave until 24 December 2027. The role focuses on teaching in Nursing within the Department of Health and Care Professions, contributing to module leadership, session design, assessment and student support.

Qualifications

• PhD (or nearing completion) or equivalent experience in the discipline.
• Experience with a range of teaching delivery techniques.
• Ability to develop external links to recruit students, secure placements and build partnerships.
• Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and impact at programme level.
• Commitment to HEA Fellowship and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Teach predominantly in Nursing within the Department of Health and Care Professions.
• Contribute to all aspects of the student journey, including recruitment and module leadership.
• Design and deliver sessions, assessments and quality assurance activities.
• Provide student support and engage in external networks for relationships and income generation.
