Job summary

Storal Learning Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Old Crofts Bank Nursery in Urmston, Manchester. Part-time role (12.5 hours/week, 3–5:30pm) offering £12.71 per hour plus benefits including bonus and childcare discount.

You will support the Nursery Cook to prepare nutritious meals while upholding safety and hygiene standards. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure meals are prepared to high quality, support dietary needs, and help create a nurturing, home-from-home

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene required.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals for children in the nursery kitchen.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene in food prep.
• Cater to children with specific dietary needs.
• Stock control and stock rotation following COSHH guidelines.
• Deputise for the Cook during absences when required.
