Job summary

The Forward Trust is seeking a Part Time Non Medical Prescriber (Band 7 NMP) to lead prescribing for substance misuse services in Thurrock. You will provide expert prescribing, supervise complex cases and guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, person-centred care.

We value experienced NMPs with strong leadership, risk assessment and decision-making skills, who can work collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber with prescribing authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based non-medical prescribing for substance dependence.
• Assess and manage complex clients, aligning decisions with individual needs.
• Provide expert prescribing guidance to a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to support service delivery.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and maintain high standards of care.
• Undertake management responsibilities to support service delivery.
