  • Assess and manage complex clients, ensuring prescribing decisions meet individual needs and support positive treatment outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and clinical support on prescribing issues to a team of practitioners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies and partner organisations involved in substance misuse services.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical leadership, supporting best practice and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Undertake management responsibilities, contributing to the effective delivery and development of the service.
  • Promote safe prescribing practices and ensure care is delivered in line with relevant clinical guidelines, policies and professional standards.
What we are looking for
  • A qualified nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • A qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) with the relevant prescribing qualification and authority to prescribe within their scope of practice.
  • Significant clinical experience in substance misuse services, particularly in the management of drug and alcohol dependence.
