Job summary

University of Chichester in Chichester invites applications for an Assistant Music Technician to join the School of Performing Arts and Conservatoire on a 33-hour per week (0.89 FTE) basis. The role supports daily operations, facility supervision, health and safety, and event support within a friendly, student-focused academic community.

You will bring a good general education with numeracy and literacy, plus knowledge of music equipment and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Good general education with high numeracy and literacy skills.
• Knowledge of setting up, maintaining and reviewing administrative systems.
• Knowledge of instruments or music equipment and knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Performing Arts & Conservatoire facilities.
• Supervision and security of buildings during operational hours; opening and closing procedures.
• Be the on-site representative for health and safety, emergency response and business continuity arrangements.
• Undertake a range of administrative, technical and organisational duties.
• Support concerts and events and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student experience.
