Contact Theatre in the UK is seeking a Building Technician to maintain the premises, support event setups and keep services running smoothly.

You will work under the Building & Operations Manager part-time (21 hours weekly, equating to 16.8 hours) with occasional duties as Duty Manager in day-time.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance (joinery, plumbing, electrical tasks), safety compliance, and engagement with young people through apprenticeships.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Building & Operations Manager with tasks for efficient building operation.
• Carry out basic maintenance: joinery, plumbing, decorating.
• Replace light fittings and lamps as required.
• Support Duty Managers for event setup and room prep.
• Move light office equipment and furniture as needed.
• Estimate labour and materials for projects and order supplies.
• Keep daily records of time spent and activities.
• Carry out external housekeeping duties and garden/ decking care.
• Maintain the Contact vehicle and perform basic upkeep.
• Assist with water quality testing per Legionella checks.
• Contribute to capital project assessments and legacy system viability.
