University of Chichester is seeking an Equipment Loans Technician at the Bognor Regis campus. You will manage loan/return of cameras, lighting and audio gear and support students and staff in a vibrant creative learning environment.
You will contribute to equipment inductions, maintenance, and safe use of professional media equipment, working as part of a small, friendly team with a focus on student experience.
Part Time: 25 hours per week - Semester time only (34 weeks of the year) Salary range: £26,707 to £28,031 per annum pro rata, £14,021 to £14,716 including holiday allowance
We are seeking an Equipment Loans Technician to support our Creative & Cultural Industries department at our Bognor Regis campus. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-standard film, audio, and lighting equipment while supporting students and staff in a vibrant creative learning environment.
This role will work as part of the technicians' team and will manage the loan and return of specialist media equipment; support the maintenance and upkeep of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment; provide technical advice and support to students and staff; deliver equipment inductions and demonstrations and help ensure students can safely and effectively use professional media equipment.
You will have experience of working within a creative/media support environment with an understanding of digital film and cinematography equipment, which is to include cameras, lighting and audio equipment. You will also have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information to students and colleagues in a clear and easily comprehensible manner. You will demonstrate a proactive, flexible and collaborative approach.
