Job summary

Solent Academies Trust, a group of six special schools in Portsmouth, Compton, Botley and Basingstoke, is seeking a hardworking caretaker to join the Site Teams. The post works across academies, requiring travel between sites with a full UK driving licence.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate. The role is 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Band 5, with benefits including staff induction, pension options, life insurance and annual leave progression.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential for the role as there will be some travel across all our sites.
• A D1 licence is preferred.
• Hands‑on approach and working knowledge of safety, security, repair and maintenance is essential for the role.
• Training will be given to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly across Solent Academies Trust's academies.
• Some travel across sites will be required; a valid driving licence is essential.
• Use your initiative and manage your time well, while working as part of a team.
