Tempest Resourcing Limited is seeking a reliable School Caretaker to support operations across six sites in West Berkshire, including Newbury, Thatcham and Calcot. The role requires travel between sites, working during school hours, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Applicants should have prior caretaker or facilities experience, a valid Enhanced DBS, and practical maintenance and DIY skills. The position is temporary/ongoing with negotiable pay based on experience.

Qualificações

• Experience as a School Caretaker or similar in an educational setting is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Good practical maintenance and DIY skills.
• Strong understanding of site safety and security.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Open and secure school premises across multiple sites and perform lock-up duties.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.
• Keep buildings and grounds safe, clean and well maintained.
• Carry out routine health and safety checks and report issues.
• Support site security and manage access to premises.
• Move furniture and assist with room setups as needed.
• Liaise with contractors and supervise maintenance work.
• Identify hazards and report necessary repairs promptly.
• Travel between six school sites as required.
