Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Food Service Assistant to join the Catering Team in the Mansfield area. You will work 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:15 to 13:30, across multiple sites to deliver high-quality food service in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include meal preparation and serving, customer service to pupils and staff, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and occasional site travel. A full UK driving licence and access to transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work across multiple locations with flexibility.
• A full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with preparation and serving of meals.
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Following food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties.
• Supporting multiple catering sites and travelling between locations.
