Job summary

Vertas invites applications for a Mobile Assistant Cook to join our Catering Team across Nottingham and surrounding areas. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 13:30, across 39.2 weeks per year, with a focus on delivering high quality catering and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include meal preparation and cooking, serving food, upholding food safety standards, stock control, and general kitchen duties.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is desirable (not essential but preferred).
• Experience in school or commercial kitchen environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and cooking of meals.
• Serve food and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Assist with stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Support catering teams across multiple sites as required.
• Assist with washing up and general kitchen duties.
