Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Food Service Assistant across Nottinghamshire, working 10:15am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, 16.25 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You will support catering teams across multiple locations, helping to deliver high quality food services and excellent customer care.

You will work as part of a busy kitchen, maintain hygiene, assist with stock rotation, and follow health and safety rules while delivering friendly service to pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Prior catering experience is desirable but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy kitchen.
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals.
• Support kitchen teams across multiple locations.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Wash up and clean catering equipment and work areas.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage procedures.
• Follow Health and Safety and food safety requirements at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
