Job summary

Vertas invites applications for a Mobile Head of Kitchen to lead kitchen operations across multiple sites in Nottinghamshire. The role runs 7:30am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week across 39.2 weeks per year, ensuring high quality meals and service.

You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise catering staff, monitor food safety and stock levels, and ensure accurate records. Travel between sites is required; pre-employment checks including DBS will apply.

• Experience in a catering environment with supervisory/management exposure.
• Strong focus on hygiene, safety, and food quality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to menu specifications.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple sites.
• Supervise and support catering colleagues.
• Monitor food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste.
• Maintain records and ensure cleanliness and quality standards.
• Provide support across the catering operation as needed.
