Job summary

St Patrick's Primary School, Pennyburn in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a part-time Supervisory Assistant to help supervise children during the mid-day break and support general supervision across the school site.

You will work 10 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 11:30am-1:30pm, with duties including guiding queues, meals supervision, handling minor incidents, and ensuring health and safety standards are met, with a retainer paid during holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children in a school or similar setting.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
• Understanding health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children and enforcing school discipline.
• Liaise with principal/senior supervisory assistant on mid-day supervision.
• Deal with minor accidents and report serious incidents promptly.
• Supervise meals and manage dining area activities and queues.
• Complete necessary paperwork and assist with related duties.
