Job summary

St Leonard's CofE Primary School is seeking a Mealtime Assistant to join a supportive team during the midday break. The role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30am–1:30pm, term-time only (38 weeks per year). It offers a permanent contract and an annual salary of £5,828 (scales for NJC points).

DBS disclosure is required and safeguarding is a core responsibility. Join a caring school community with a focus on pupil safety and well-being, providing support in dining areas and outdoor play

Qualifications

• DBS disclosure required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Ability to work as part of a team and engage children during lunch periods.

Responsibilities

• Support the MTA Lead to ensure pupil safety and welfare during midday break.
• Set up and assist in the dinner hall; supervise and play with children during lunch and break times.
• Work as part of a dedicated team, uphold safeguarding standards and be flexible and caring.
