Parkway Medical Group in Newcastle upon Tyne is hiring a Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice on a 24-hour week. The role involves welcoming patients, answering calls, and providing a range of reception and administration duties using SystmOne and Microsoft systems.

Shifts are set: Wednesday 8am-6pm, Thursday 9am-5:30pm, Friday 9am-5:30pm. In-house training is provided, and prior experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however in-house training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with patient queries face to face or on the telephone and booking/cancelling all types of appointments and home visits.
• Handling reception work, telephone answering, and general clerical duties.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and processing prescription requests when required.
