Job summary

CL:AIRE in Reading is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a part-time, permanent role (3 days / 24 hours per week), hybrid working. You will own the full management accounts process, deliver timely reports, and support strategic decision-making alongside the Finance & Operations Director.

The role suits a proactive professional with strong Excel skills, Xero experience, and a track record of improving reporting processes. UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience independently preparing full management accounts.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with a track record of improving reporting processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong organisational and self-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts to agreed deadlines.
• Working closely with colleagues across Finance and other business functions to gather, validate and interpret financial data.
• Supporting improvements to reporting processes, controls and governance.
• Supporting budgeting, cash flow planning and audits.
• Ad-hoc reporting as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.
