Job summary

Grafton Group is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will own core month-end activities, conduct balance sheet reviews and maintain robust financial controls.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week. You will take ownership of core month-end activities, perform strong balance sheet reviews, maintain robust financial controls and provide practical support to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the General Ledger and review bank reconciliations.
• Manage an accurate and timely month-end close.
• Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and conduct thorough reviews.
• Prepare IFRS 16 journals.
• Manage capital expenditure and maintain accurate fixed asset records.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Produce monthly management reports and investigate variances and other issues.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial queries and analysis.

Requirements:

• Part-qualifiedaccountantstudying towards CIMA,ACCAor ACA.
• Proven experience in monthly management reporting andmonth-end processes.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using financial systems.
