Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Loss Prevention Partner to protect profits and support a safe shop floor. You’ll deter theft, monitor trends, and assist colleagues across the store on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

This role is 22 hours per week across seven days, with shifts from 09:15 to 19:15. Comprehensive training is provided, and DBS vetting may be required. You will be a focal point for branch Profit Protection issues and coach others on shrinkage reduction.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in resolving conflict.
• Great attention to detail with ability to spot trends and signs of profit loss.
• Good customer service and relationship building skills.
• Prev. loss prevention experience beneficial but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection related issues, and escalation as required.
• Mitigate the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
• Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
• Address all aspects of shrinkage, including external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure and administrative error.
• Support and coach fellow Partners on how to minimise shrinkage and complete procedures correctly to protect our profits.
• De-escalate conflict situations in the shop professionally (you may be required to detain or ban individuals who are committing offences).
• Support with investigations where required.
