Job summary

John Lewis & Partners in Cardiff is seeking a Loss Prevention Partner to protect profits and support the shop team on the shop floor. You will investigate trends, deter theft and monitor CCTV as part of the Profit Protection function.

This role involves a rota including evenings and weekends, with full training provided. A strong emphasis on customer service and colleague safety will be essential throughout.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in resolving conflict.
• Great attention to detail with ability to spot trends and signs of profit loss.
• Good customer service and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection related issues, and escalated as required.
• Mitigate the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
• Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
• Address all aspects of shrinkage, including; external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure and administrative error.
• Support and coach fellow Partners on how to minimise shrinkage and complete procedures correctly to protect our profits.
• De‑escalate conflict situations in the shop professionally (at times, you may be required to detain or ban individuals who are committing offences in our shops).
• Support with investigations where required.
