Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres in Waterlooville is seeking a Lifeguard to cover 38 hours per week. The role focuses on lifeguarding, assisting customers, and maintaining a safe, clean environment across our leisure facilities.

The successful candidate will hold an RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or be willing to undertake) and have First Aid qualifications. We offer extensive training and a supportive, vibrant team culture.

Qualifications

• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to undertake)
• Experience as Lifeguard in a wet/dry centre
• First Aid qualification
• COSHH & Health & Safety desirable

Responsibilities

• Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team
• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries
• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions
• Understand and be knowledgeable about our products and services
• Maintain and monitor all facilities to ensure cleanliness is paramount and always free of hazards
• Responsible for ensuring customers are treated with respect
• Responsible for ensuring staff are treated with respect
• Responsible for the safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults
• Set-up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules

What does the role involve?

Your Experience

• Experience of working in a customer services environment

• Experience as a Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre

• First Aid

• Manual Handling

Your Qualifications

• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willing to undertake)

• HSE First Aid Qualification desirable

• Certificates in COSHH & Health & Safety desirable

This role will be based at Waterlooville but will be expected to travel to other company site as the need requires.
