Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres in Havant is seeking a Part Time Lifeguard to join our friendly team. You will provide lifeguard cover for weekend shifts, assist customers, and maintain a safe, clean pool environment while upholding our service standards.

The role requires RLSS Lifeguard certification (or willingness to undertake), good communication, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. We offer development opportunities and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer services environment.
• Lifeguard experience in a wet and dry centre preferred.
• First Aid certification or willingness to undertake.
• COSHH/Health & Safety qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed by duty management.
• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries.
• Ensure safety of customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

What does the role involve?

A hands-on role that requires you to:

• Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team

• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions

• Understand and be knowledgeable about our products and services

• Maintain and monitor all facilities to ensure cleanliness is paramount and always free of hazards

• Responsible for ensuring customers are treated with respect

• Responsible for ensuring staff are treated with respect

• Responsible for the safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

• Set-up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules

Your Experience

• Experience of working in a customer services environment

• Experience as a Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre

• First Aid

• Manual Handling

Your Qualifications

• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willing to undertake)

• Certificates in COSHH & Health & Safety desirable

This role will be based at Havant but will be expected to travel to other company site as the need requires.
