Job summary

Virgin Active in Greater London is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to join our Operations Team. You will ensure poolside safety, cleanliness and a high-quality member experience, acting as a trusted ambassador for the club.

The role emphasises quick, calm responses, safety checks and maintaining excellent standards across the facility. You must hold a current Lifeguard qualification with RLSS, HABC Level 2 or STA Professional Award and be fully registered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Lifeguard qualification and be fully registered (RLSS, HABC Level 2, or STA Professional Award).
• Demonstrates strong water safety knowledge and the ability to act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool and spa areas are safe and clean at all times.
• Conduct safety checks and record them accurately.
• Monitor water chemistry and maintain pool cleanliness.
• Maintain high standards of Virgin Active operational excellence and member experience.
• Fulfil duty shifts, manage staffing and facilities issues during shifts.
• Respond confidently to incidents and uphold a welcoming environment for members.
