Shetland Islands Council is seeking a Learning Support Worker for Cunningsburgh Primary School in Shetland. The role supports management and education of children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) within a school setting, under guidance from teachers.

The post is temporary part-time, 20.0 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, plus pro‑rated holidays. PVG scheme checks are required; UK visa sponsorship is not available; relocation is not included.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning support in ASN context is desirable.
• PVG Scheme checks required or PVG check update prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and education of children and young people with additional support needs (ASN).
• Work with teachers to support pupils within a school setting and individualised programmes.
