Job summary

Baltasound Junior High School in Unst, Shetland is seeking a Learning Support Worker to assist in education and management of children with additional support needs. The role involves working within the school or in mainstream classes, following individual education programmes and liaising with therapists and teachers.

The post is permanent and part-time (23.63 hours per week, 39 weeks per year plus pro-rata holiday).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional support needs is desirable.
• Ability to follow individual education programmes and work with a multi-disciplinary team.
• PVG Scheme clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and education of children with ASN.
• Work with classes and individualised education programmes.
