Philosophy Education is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant for a Southminster primary school, starting in September. The role is part-time, across five days (26.5 hours per week) during term time, with duties spanning supporting pupils in classrooms, small groups and individual sessions to boost confidence and learning progress.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children in similar settings, be patient and reliable, and hold robust communication skills to foster a positive

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school, nursery, care or youth setting.
• Ability to support pupils individually and in small groups.
• Patient, calm and encouraging approach.
• Reliable, adaptable and professional.
• Available to start in September.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete DBS)

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during classroom activities
• Working with children individually and in small groups
• Providing additional support in English and maths
• Assisting with phonics and early reading
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused
• Supporting children with additional learning needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Preparing resources and learning materials
