Job summary

Market Harborough Church of England Academy in Market Harborough is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to work 16.25 hours per week during term time and one week in school holidays. Working pattern is 8.45am - 12pm, Monday to Friday.

The role involves supporting teaching and learning under supervision, including 1:1 support and small groups, while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality. NVQ 2 in STL or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
• Ability to meet STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards relevant to this post.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and small group assistance under teacher supervision.
• Help deliver planned learning activities and feedback pupil engagement.
• Maintain safe, confidential learning environments following lesson plans.
• Observe pupil performance and report back to the teacher as required.
• Support pupils’ numeracy and literacy development across the curriculum.
• Prepare ICT resources to support learning activities.
