Job summary

Merryfields School in the United Kingdom is seeking an Ancillary Assistant on a maternity cover basis from January 2027 to around January 2028. The role supports the class teacher with classroom preparation, equipment and resources, and the personal care, health and learning needs of pupils.

Part-time, 32.5 hours across term time, with slightly varied start and finish times across the week. No prior experience is needed as full training is given, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required, including disclosure of unspent and unfiltered spent convictions.
• Online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026.
• References requested before interview.
