Job summary

Badgerbrook Primary School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support teaching staff and pupils during term-time. The role is 15 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a fixed term contract to 18 August 2027.

You will help deliver lessons, support individuals and groups, and contribute to a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or ability to meet STL Level 2 NOS).
• Experience in supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
• Understanding of child protection and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
• Assist individuals and small groups with learning activities.
• Provide feedback on pupil engagement and progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
• Prepare learning materials including ICT resources.
