Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy café team. You will work alongside the kitchen team to keep the kitchen clean and running smoothly, creating a tidy environment and supporting staff in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers 25 hours per week with a part-time contract. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and provide opportunities for development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene.
• Previous experience working in the kitchen and café floor.

Responsibilities

• You will clean the crockery, plates and equipment for our chef.
• Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas.
• You will unload and put away deliveries.
• You will empty bins, sweep and mop all kitchen floors.
• You will ensure all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
• You will support the kitchen staff when needed.
