Job summary

Colchester Institute is seeking an Inclusive Support Practitioner to provide in-person or virtual support for learners across courses. The role focuses on literacy/numeracy assistance, feedback, and promoting independence, with mobility support around campus.

Under a tutor's guidance, you will monitor progress, maintain records, and help learners access ICT and assistive tech. Part-time, 36 weeks, at Colchester and/or Braintree campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners to achieve goals in education settings.
• Ability to give clear feedback and monitor learner progress.
• Good literacy support including SPaG understanding to help learners without assessing.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person or virtual support to designated learners across courses.
• Support learners with literacy and numeracy and manage disruptive behaviour.
• Work under a tutor to raise learner independence and achievement.
• Support access to campus including mobility and wheelchair help.
• Maintain records of learner progress using college IT systems.
• Assist with ICT equipment training and EHCP reviews.
