Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is recruiting for a part-time Support Practitioner in Dumfries. The role involves helping individuals to live independently at home, including medication support, personal care, and daily activities. Training leading to a funded SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care will be provided.

Shifts are 20 hours per week with evening and weekend work. A UK driving licence for a manual vehicle and access to a car are required.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; training provided.
• Fully funded SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Female applicants only due to policy.
• Part-time post of 20 hours per week with evening/weekend shifts.
• Shifts include 07:30–12:00 and 16:00–21:30.
• PVG and SSSC registration may be required.
• Must have access to own car and UK driving licence for manual vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration and personal care.
• Support with general housework and meal preparation.
• Provide social support and accompany individuals to hobbies/events.
• Support individuals to live as independently as possible in their own homes.
