Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to assist individuals living in their own homes with daily tasks, personal care and medicines. Training and SVQ funding are provided, with opportunities to develop within social care.

This 20-hour role welcomes applicants with transferable skills and a positive attitude. We value inclusivity and support flexible working arrangements in a caring, community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Must have empathy and caring nature.
• Strong observation skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals living in their own homes with daily activities.
• Support with medication and finances, housework, meals, cooking and personal care.
• Provide moving and handling support with appropriate training.
• Engage with service users through activities and interests to promote wellbeing.
