Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is hiring a Support Practitioner in Chryston, Scotland, on a permanent basis for 30 hours per week. We welcome applicants who share our values and will provide full training, including a fully funded SVQ.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role. As a Support Practitioner you will assist with daily living activities and support with personal care, finances, appointments and social activities.

Qualifications

• Have an empathetic and caring nature.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling, personal care and help with household chores.
• Provide moving and handling support as needed, with training provided.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centered support to service users in their own homes.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
