Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Part-Time HSE Manager for a Yeovil site. The role focuses on maintaining HSE systems, delivering training, and driving risk reduction across health, safety, and the environment. 3–4 days per week with site-based responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have NEBOSH certification, manufacturing experience, and strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation. This role requires independent work and the ability to influence on-site behaviours.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) required.
• Experience in manufacturing/production/industrial environments preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and its on-site application.
• Experience completing risk assessments and leading investigations.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the site's HSE systems, policies and compliance documentation.
• Provide competent HSE advice to site leadership, supervisors and operational teams.
• Plan and complete site audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Lead incident/near-miss investigations, identify root cause and track corrective actions.
• Produce and deliver HSE training, briefings and safety communications.
• Maintain statutory records and support ongoing compliance requirements.
• Act as the point of contact for regulators, insurers and auditors as required.
• Support environmental management activities, including waste controls.
• Compile HSE performance updates and recommendations for management review.
