Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Cheltenham is seeking a Health and Safety Manager (part-time, 24 hours per week) to lead the development and management of safety policies within an engineering/aerospace environment.

The role requires a NEBOSH General Certificate and experience in risk assessments, audits, and investigations, with strong communication and reporting skills. Pro-rata salary up to £55,000, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
• First Aid certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across operations.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to management and staff.
• Coordinate health and safety training programmes to meet statutory requirements.
• Monitor and report safety performance using KPIs and drive improvements.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors for compliance.
• Ensure emergency procedures and contingency plans are in place and tested.
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture across the organisation.
• Manage safety documentation and licences with accuracy.
