Job summary

Omega Resource is seeking a QHSE Lead to lead the development and management of health and safety policies within an engineering/aerospace environment in Cheltenham, UK. The role focuses on compliance, incident investigations, training coordination, and continuous improvement in safety performance.

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH certificate and a degree in related fields, with proven experience in ISO 45001 and working with HSE bodies.

Qualifications

NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline preferred.
Proven experience in health and safety management within engineering or aerospace sectors.
Experience with ISO 45001 or similar standards.

Responsibilities

Lead development and management of health and safety policies aligned with legislation.
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across operations.
Investigate accidents and near-misses; produce reports and corrective actions.
Advise management on health and safety matters across the organisation.
Coordinate safety training to meet statutory requirements and standards.
Monitor performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Liaise with HSE and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Maintain emergency procedures and contingency plans, test regularly.
Promote a proactive safety culture and staff engagement.
Maintain health and safety documentation, records, and licences.
