Casanovas Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Head of HR to lead People & Culture in a Sudbury-based, part-time role. You will own the people agenda from recruitment and onboarding through to development, performance and engagement, shaping a positive culture.

The role is office-based in Sudbury, Suffolk with flexible patterns (2–3 longer days or 3–5 shorter days) and requires Thursdays in meetings. The salary is £38,000 FTE pro rata, reflecting the part-time arrangement, and the business values

Head of HR (People & Culture)

Sudbury, Suffolk Part Time Office Based £38,000 FTE Pro Rata

Casanovas Recruitment are looking for an experienced and people-focused Head of HR People & Culture to join a small, incredibly successful and growing business in Sudbury.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with people, helping to build a positive, high-performing culture and ensuring people have the support and development they need to succeed.

The Role

You'll take ownership of the people agenda across the business, from recruitment and onboarding through to development, performance and employee engagement.

You'll work closely with managers to:

• Build a strong, positive and accountable company culture.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, retention and employee engagement.
• Manage performance, attendance and employee relations.
• Develop training, career progression and development opportunities.
• Support managers with people-related challenges and leadership development.
• Organise team-building and company-wide initiatives.
• Introduce clear and consistent performance processes and KPIs.
• Lead regular sales, operational and management meetings, ensuring clear actions and accountability.
• Monitor progress and help drive improvements across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in a senior or stand alone HR, People or People & Culture role who is confident, robust, pragmatic, organised, approachable and commercially minded.

You'll be comfortable having difficult conversations, challenging when needed, finding solutions and building strong relationships across the business. You'll be organised, proactive and genuinely passionate about helping people and businesses perform at their best.

Flexible part-time role

The company are open to different working patterns to suit the right person:

2 or 3 longer days per week

or

3, 4 or 5 shorter days per week

The role is office based in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Due to company meetings - a Thursday is a must.

Salary: £38,000 FTE, pro rata
