Job summary

Tormead School in Guildford is seeking a HR Advisor for a fixed-term 1 year role. This part-time position (0.60 FTE) supports payroll, contracts, HR systems and reporting across the school community.

Applicants should have CIPD Level 3 or equivalent with HR advisory experience and a solid knowledge of employment law. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is advantageous. Hours are flexible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience and HR advisory experience.
• Good working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with staff and managers.
• Payroll reconciliation experience; school environment experience advantageous; CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of a comprehensive HR service across the Tormead family of schools.
• Assist with payroll, contracts, HR systems and reporting.
• Be a trusted point of contact for staff and managers, providing timely HR guidance.
