Job summary

Places for People in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time Housing Officer to engage with residents, promote safe, independent living, and help foster a vibrant community.

You will advise on rent and service charges, assist with benefits claims, and support customers with financial needs while working with the income recovery team to reduce arrears. Travel within local areas is required, and a trauma-informed approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management and wellbeing of Retirement/Extra Care living services.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents to promote safe, independent living and reduce isolation.
• Provide advice on rent and service charges; assist with benefits claims.
• Support customers with financial needs and liaise with income recovery to reduce arrears.
• Assist in compliance; travel within local areas as required.
