PILGRIMS' FRIEND SOCIETY is seeking an Housing Scheme Manager to oversee day-to-day management of the scheme and support residents in a loving, caring environment focused on wellbeing.

The role requires leadership of housing, maintenance and wellbeing teams, strong budget awareness, and excellent customer service. The position is 20 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities and a range of staff support duties within a faith-based charity context.

Qualifications

• Understanding the needs of older people.
• Experience supervising or managing in housing or similar settings.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate others.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with budget control and management.
• Proficiency in IT (Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and stay organised.

Responsibilities

• Assess occupants against eligibility criteria and allocate housing units.
• Maintain high wellbeing standards for occupants.
• Keep support plans up to date.
• Lead and manage housing staff and cover during absences.
• Manage domestic and maintenance teams.
• Oversee the Wellbeing Assistant.
• Collaborate with Finance on rents and charges.
• Provide excellent customer care via calls and visits.
• Oversee health and safety of the scheme.
• Handle complaints per Society policy.
• Promote the Society to maximise occupancy and income.
