Job summary

Belleaire Care Home in Greenock is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain high cleaning standards in public areas and bedrooms. You will also wash, dry, iron and store laundry, contributing to a clean, welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Experience in housekeeping is preferred; full training will be provided for new staff. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and good teamwork in a caring setting.

Qualifications

Overlooking the River Clyde in Greenock, Belleaire Care Home is a 52-bed home providing nursing and dementia care for the elderly. Our home combines modern facilities with compassionate, person-centred care in a warn and supportive environment where residents feel safe, valued and comfortable. Salary:£12.76per hour

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (8am to 4pm, 3 days per week, working alterantive weekends)

For you, as a Housekeeping Assistant the role involves being responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness in public areas and bedrooms within the home, you will also be responsible for the wash, dry, iron and put away of laundry. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means you’ll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the colleagues working to support them.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas and rooms are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.

• You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards, however full training will be provided if this role is new to you.

• Replenish and maintain supplies in both resident rooms and common areas.

• Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues to address needs and concerns.
