Job summary

Northcare is seeking a reliable Housekeeper for Northcare Residences Glasgow (Clarkston) or Balmoral by Northcare in Giffnock. This part-time role involves cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will follow infection control procedures, report issues, and work with a friendly team to uphold high cleanliness standards and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable.
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
• Carry out laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, and storing clothing and linen.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues as required.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness.

Care Home Housekeeper
Location: Northcare Residences Glasgow in Clarkston, and Balmoral by Northcare in Giffnock
Hours: Part Time, working 2 shifts per week
Salary: £13.45 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and caring Housekeeper to join our friendly and supportive team in Northcare Residences in Clarkston. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
• Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and storing clothing and linen.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues as required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, dependable, and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
