Job summary

Meallmore Manor Care Centre in Nairn is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents. You will be responsible for cleaning public areas and bedrooms, handling laundry, and supporting infection control practices. Training is provided as needed, with a positive, patient-focused approach encouraged. This role offers 28 hours per week and a competitive benefits package including overtime rates.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning roles.
• Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH and compliance standards.
• Willing to receive full training if new to the role.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleaning standards across facilities, public areas and bedrooms.
• Follow cleaning schedules and report issues; training provided if needed.
• Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

For you, as a Housekeeping Assistantthe role involvesbeing responsible formaintainingthe highest levels of cleanliness in public areasand bedroomswithin the home, you will alsobe responsible forthe wash, dry, iron and put away of laundry.The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean,tidyand welcoming environment. This meansyou’llhave a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all thecolleaguesworking to support them.

Salary, £12.76per hour +Competitive benefits + overtime rates

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas androomsaremaintainedto the highest cleaning standards.
• You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards, however full training will be provided if this role is new to you.
• Replenish andmaintainsupplies in both resident rooms andcommon areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents andcolleaguesto address needs and concerns.
