Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a Homecare & Reablement Assistant for Stornoway/Broadbay on a 21-hour weekly permanent basis. The role offers a salary of £17,457–£18,125 per year, inclusive of a £1,701 Distant Islands Allowance, with progression opportunities to a higher post subject to qualification and registration.

The successful candidate will provide compassionate, person-centred care to enable clients to live independently at home, with a full UK driving licence and PVG clearance

Qualifications

• SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent to enable registration with SSSC.

Responsibilities

• Support people living in their communities to continue living at home.
• Provide care and support based on person-centred planning, with dignity, respect and trust.
• Participate in safeguarding and PVG scheme requirements as applicable.
