Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in Scotland is seeking a Domestic Assistant for St Brendan's Care Home (3614). The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, with a salary of £29,620 to £29,909 per year, inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance.

You will provide domestic assistance and maintain cleanliness to health and safety standards within the Home. Applicants should have cleaning experience, follow instructions, and understand the needs of the client group; PPE must be worn.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning, preferably to a schedule or in a work setting.
• Ability to understand, retain and act on instructions.
• Understanding of the needs of the client group.
• Wearing PPE is essential in this post.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance in the Home, with responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the Home, to the standard necessary for the health and safety of the service users.
